The decline was especially evident among male artists.
Similarly, Stray Kids saw a reduction of around 5 million albums in 2024 compared to 2023.
The gender distribution of cumulative album sales in 2024 revealed a shift toward increased female artist representation.
2024 also saw a drop in the number of albums that sold over 1 million copies.
