Earlier this week at ‘CJ ENM Music Media Lounge’,CJ ENM’s Music Content Division DirectorShin Hyung Kwannamed projects set to air onMnetin 2025.
First, the director named the projects confirmed to air in the first and second halves of 2025, including ‘World of Street Woman Fighter’, ‘BOYS II PLANET’, an 8-part K-Pop competition series jointly produced withApple TV+known as ‘K-Popped’, and a band audition program which has yet to set its title.
Furthermore, the director revealed plans for Mnet to launch a new season of ‘Unpretty Rapstar’ in partnership with the producers of ‘Street Woman Fighter’ some time later this year.
The new season, tentatively titled ‘Unpretty Rapstar : Hip-Hop Princess’, will feature contestants from both Korea and Japan whose talents include hip-hop dance, vocals, and rap.
According to the director,“The goal is to produce the ‘IZ*ONEof the hip-hop world’.”
