Analysts credit the success of Rose and Bruno Mars’s “APT” for this resurgence, bringing renewed interest to a song over 40 years old.
Streaming numbers for “Apartment” have surged since the release of “APT” on October 18, with daily listeners on Melon increasing by 122% compared to October 17.

On another music site,Genie, streaming for “Apartment” also skyrocketed by 190% over the week following the release.
“Apartment” has been loved as a ‘national song’ since its release in 1982 and is a popular chant at soccer and baseball games.
It has also been remixed by artists like Kim Gun Mo and DJ DOC and was most recently covered by Lim Young Woong at the Sangam Seoul World Cup Stadium.
